Back From an Action Packed TTM + 2013
June 2013
Wide Discovery would like to thank
all our old and new friends that
attended the Thailand Travel Mart
Plus 2013 last week at IMPACT
Exhibition Hall in Bangkok.
The TAT hailed this year's event as the biggest
yet with more than 800 delegates attending and
a total of 422 booths, and it was great to meet
with many of you and learn more about your
latest marketing and booking requirements as
.we head towards AEC integration in 2015
We are pleased to report a very good
response at the the Wide Discovery booth. As
the only Phuket-based independent Software
as a Service (SaaS) provider for the hospitality
industry, we were inundated with requests
for the latest internet market solutions and
online upgrades as we continue to experience
unprecedented growth in the local and regional
travel market.
In case you weren't at the TTM + 2013 to see our latest products in action, since last year, we've added a few
.more products to help hoteliers generate more income opportunities for their properties.
Wide Discovery's one-stop channel management solution by RateGain proved popular by demand as hoteliers
looked for time-saving solutions. We are also happy to be providing more of you with our web development and
booking engine packages to help you gain more independence from the high commissions demanded by the large
OTAs.
More than 800 delegates arrived from around the region to network with the 420 hospitality related
organizations participating at Thailand’s largest business-to-business event, which is organized annually by the
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
The TAT reported a 16 per cent jump in international arrivals to Thailand last year to reach a record-breaking
22.3 million travellers, according to Deputy Governor in charge of Europe and the Americas, Juttaporn
Rerngronasa.
As a service provider or the hospitality industry, we have seen a significant increase in hoteliers seeking to
improve their position in the global market by upgrading their online end-user experience and reach out to more
independent travellers and encourage them to book directly on line.
The TAT aims to attract a total of 24.1 million international visitors this year, predicting tourism revenue of up to
US$ 37 billion while focusing on quality rather than quantity with more effective marketing campaigns targeting
upper class, high-spending travellers. “Book Now” button was also a hit with our customers seeking to gain more exposure through social media.
We're looking forward to seeing you at TTM 2014. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us to find out
more about our unique internet marketing products and services for the hospitality industry and welcome any
invitations to discuss possible partnerships.
